B.A. in Linguistics and Philosophy


Preparation for the Major:

Required: Linguistics 20, Philosophy 31, 32, and two courses from 1, 6, 7, 21; completion of the equivalent of the sixth term of one foreign language and the third term of a second foreign language.

The Major:

Thirteen upper division courses as follows: Linguistics 103, 120A, 120B, 125, 165B, two upper division electives in linguistics; six upper division courses in philosophy, including at least five from Philosophy 124 through 135B, 170, 172, 184, 186, 187, 188, of which at least two must be from 127A, 127B, 172.
