  3. Accommodation
  4. University of Chicago is hosting the LSA summer institute of linguistics during the conference period, so accommodation options are quite limited.

    1. Sharing a hotel room: The hotels in the vicinity of the conference venue are very limited, and very expensive. We managed to get a group discount from one of the local hotels (Chicago Lakeshore Hotel). All the rooms that we have reserved are double, so you can share a room with another participant. If you would like to share your room with another attendee, please contact our student assistant Jiyoung Jang from Hanyang University (jiyoungljang@gmail.com) with the following information by June 15th (But the earlier, the better! The group deal ends on June 19th):

Subject line: Looking for a roommate

      2. Gender:
      3. Age:
      4. Student or Non-student
      5. Affiliation:
      6. Dates you wish to share a room
      7. Any preference/constraints:

Email: jiyoungljang@gmail.com by June 15th (the earlier, the better)

We can't guarantee that we find a roommate for you, but we will do our best. We will let you know as soon as we receive two matched requests. Then one of you should book a room directly after the arrangement by June 19th.

    2. Here are some possibilities that you may want to consider.

      2. http://www.laquintachicagolakeshore.com/

Room rates are $149 PLUS a tax a night (for a double only), with free breakfast. Conference attendees can get a 25% discount from the daily rate ($189+tax night) under the name of ICKL when they make a reservation. We have 40 rooms to block. The reservations have to be made by June 19th. At the moment, the reservation with the group rate discount can be made by calling 1-773-324-3000 (toll free number: 1-800-237-4933). You can mention ICKL (International Conference on Korean Linguistics).

Note 1: The rooms that we have reserved are newly renovated ones. There are other rooms in the same hotel that are not renovated. These rooms are cheaper, about $110+Tax, if you book through "booking.com" or "Interpark" (the Korean company).(But at the moment, the cheaper rooms appear to have been sold out.)
