How to make a Downloads folder

• Click on MyComputer
• Click on C:.  There may be other stuff, like "Local Disk" or the name of the computer manufacturer.  C: is the important part.
• Select Files from the menu at the top of the window, then New, then Folders.
• A new folder will pop up, highlighted.  Type Downloads, and the words New Folder will disappear.
• Hit the Enter key.

You now have a new folder for keeping downloaded material in.  

I find it best to keep making new folders inside your Downloads folder, to keep everything straight.  Unless you have a shortage of disk space, it's good to keep all your downloads--that way you can easily reinstall all the downloaded programs the next time you change computers.
