I am a graduate student at the UCLA Department of Linguistics. This year (2010-2011), I am also a visiting student at the CUNY Graduate Center Linguistics Department.

My interests are varied, but usually involve syntax and Portuguese linguistics. Some topics that I particularly like to think about include:

    •    Person and Agreement

    •    Copular and existential sentences

    •    Syntactic variation (especially micro-syntactic variation)

    •    Research methods in linguistics/ syntactic research

    •    The syntax and semantics of determiner phrases

As well as my primary interest in (first language) formal syntax, I am also interested in Second Language Acquisition and foreign language teaching research and practice.
