á      syntax and semantics: expressing location; prepositions; grammaticalization; language change; word order; focus; case marking.

 

á      fieldwork on indigenous languages: documentary and descriptive linguistics, developing language materials, archiving.

 

á      Fieldwork on Tlacolula Valley Zapotec (Otomanguean): 1999 to present. Ongoing analysis of phonology and syntax.   Currently focusing on recording and analyzing a corpus of texts in Tlacolula de Matamoros Zapotec and producing a small dictionary for the community.
