Professional Interests

My research mainly concerns syntax, semantics, morphology, and the interfaces among these. On the syntactic side, I have worked specifically on gerund clauses, infinitival clauses, definiteness effects, and ellipsis. On the more semantic side I work on conditional sentences, NPIs, presupposition, attitude verbs, underlying events, and tense. (See also the Background page.)
