This is a repeat of the checklist for first-year students, plus further items (below) related to the MA thesis.  It is valid for students entering the program Fall 2002 and later (hence, who are second-year students as of Fall 2003).

First Year Items

Required courses:

Note:  200C, and the "one of ..." course is not required for students entering the program Fall 2001 and earlier.

Elective courses:

Note:  2 additional electives are required for students entering the program Fall 2001 and earlier.

Second Year Items

Selection of MA thesis adviser

Submission of Human Subjects Protection application, if needed, for MA thesis research

Submission of application to department for money to pay subjects/consultants, if needed, for MA thesis research

Appointment of MA thesis committee
