Ay Baati Wolof is a newly revised edition of the first English dictionary of the Wolof language of Senegal (first published in 1991 as UCLA Occasional Papers in Linguistics vol. 9). The new work (xiii plus 360pp.) is more than 100 pages longer than the original, with errors corrected and many new words and meanings added in both the main Wolof-English section and the English-Wolof index. The introduction explains the form of entries and the grammatical analysis of Wolof assumed.
