Facilities
Laboratories
- Phonetics Laboratory. Equipped for research and
teaching in speech production, acoustics, and perception; located on the
2nd floor of Campbell Hall.
- Psycholinguistics
Laboratory. Houses psycholinguistics faculty offices, graduate student
desks, experimental equipment and testing rooms, computers for general
use, the psycholinguistics reading room and
lounge; located on the 2nd floor of Campbell Hall.
- Computational
Linguistics Laboratory. Equipped for research and teaching in
mathematical and computational approaches to syntactic and semantic
analysis, production, and learnability; located
primarily on the 3rd floor of Campbell Hall.
Other Facilities
- Reading Room.
In addition to books and journals, the reading room also houses
copies of Linguistics Department Ph.D. dissertations and M.A. theses.
Linguistics instructors also frequently put class readings on reserve in
the Reading Room.
- Computer Lab.
Provides computer facilities for use by students and faculty in the
department.
