UCLA is fortunate in having one of the largest Linguistics Departments in the United States and perhaps the largest undergraduate program in Linguistics. The Department has about 18 full-time faculty members, a large phonetics laboratory containing equipment dedicated specifically to undergraduate students, and computer facilities for undergraduate students who pursue computational linguistics..
